Christmas holiday update

Before I broke off for christmas, I decided that I am going to be working with my friend Dave on the upcoming project, basically as we shared the same basic idea and we want to achieve the same thing. We created a presentation which can be seen here where we talk about our basic ideas. 

The main source of inspiration came from the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and we want to re-create a guide of some sort, but for our own society, all the ideas are in the presentation. It will be done on After Effects.

As I've read some of the book so far, there are a few themes I wanted to note for future reference. Exploration, communication, interest in people, the concept of storytelling (all elements of the book that I noted as I was reading)

Techniques for animating people (filming them then converting to cartoon in after effects, or how to do 2D versions)

The start of a new project

For those of you who have been reading my other blog, welcome back! But if you haven't, hello!

This blog is being used for gathering and recording my ideas on my upcoming digital media project.

Over the past few weeks I have been trying to think of ideas, but I have found some things that inspire me.

Here is the link to one of my favourite music videos. I know it is basic, but I like how the background builds around the band. It is also 2D, and this is the area that I want to go into. Not sure if I want to do something abstract or not.

Another idea I had was an animated film

This style of film is really inspiring to me, use one of the themes of Frankenstein and do a film like this, completely from scratch.

These are starting points, to look at and explore other types of work that can help me establish what I want to do.
